Matthew was born in Pietermaritzburg, however from an early age he was raised and began learning his life lessons in the city of Cape Town. Being in leadership roles throughout his schooling careers, he is no stranger to accepting responsibility and leading a team. The aspects of various characters within people and their abilities of what they're capable of is what drives him to want to work with anyone and everyone. It is this exact fascination with characters and the understanding of their makeups that lead him to the entertainment world, specifically through cinema.  He not only wants to dominate the managing world on a logistical basis but on a creative one too.
