My name is Taahir Sarguro, Iʼm currently studying an Honours degree at AFDA
specialising in screenwriting and directing. Iʼve written and directed 8 short
films (3 of them that are of watchable quality), a few documentaries and some
music videos too. My time at AFDA as a writer/director student so far has been
truly rewarding. Along with my parents teachings, this period of my life has
been the most illuminating in terms of showing me what is the best way to live a
meaningful life. More than anything else, my studies thus far have revealed how
much more I have to learn about the industry, the intricacies of the craft and
just how it all clicks together to create movies we love. In terms of my future
aspirations, I hope to make a living off creating feature films that are
developed, produced and distributed through my own production company.
